Happy Weekend!! =)

Hello and HAPPY Monday!!
I hope your weekend was a Fabulous as mine!! Beckett had his last soccer game and they only lost by one goal!! Beckett had the last goal of the game and his record high for the season was four goals in one game!! =) This was his first season and I can't believe how much he learned!! It helped that Adam (daddy) was the coach!! So here are some quick pictures!!

We also had a litter of baby kittens and this little sweetie is the family favorite!! We didn't want to take them all for a picture so the momma wouldn't get mad and decide to move them so here she is "SNOWFLAKE".  Doesn't she fit her name well!!??  =)
Beckett was laughing when we named her and said the Greyson will be confused when it starts to snow and we want to chase snowflakes, cause he'll think we are talking about the kitten snowflake!! Such smart little thoughts from a 6yr. old!!

Beckett and Greyson SNUGGLING!! You can tell by Greyson's SMILE he LOVES his Big Brother!!
I will be back later with some challenge entries!!

THANKS for stopping by and have a FABULOUS WEEK!! =)

12 Tags of 2013 April with Tim Holtz!! =)

I was able to play along with the FUN 12 Tags of 2013 April Challenge over on the Tim Holtz Blog!!
This month the challenge was to create a Patina Background using the New Distress Paints!! I found a REALLY neat Effect when I combined the Distress Paints with the Distress Stains and I hope you'll give it a try!! =) Here is my take on the challenge!!

I started by covering my Tag with a mixture of Distress Paints (Weathered Wood, Broken China, Salty Ocean, Peeled Paint, Forest Moss)
along with Distress Stain (Antiqued Brass and Tarnished Bronze)  I used my mat and squeezed all of these together on my mat in their own area!! I then ran my tag through to pick up the colors!! I then moved my tag to a paper towel and sprayed it with water making the colors move and blend together!! The stain resisted and left a FUN Transparent area with the metallic sheen!! I LOVE the way it looks and feel it works almost better than using the Metallic Paints!! I sure hope you'll give it a try, cause I know you'll LOVE the effect too!!
I used the Map stamp and the Hot Air Balloon!! I used Wendy Vecchi's Sheets and stamped the Hot Air Balloon onto it and molded it to give it a 3-D look!! I also used Broken China Distress Embossing Powder to fill in the Hot Air Balloon after I colored the image in with a Embossing Pen on my tag and I LOVE the way it looks!! It added a extra touch of life to my balloon!! I covered a smaller tag with the same patina treatment and stamped it with the Air Mail stamp and then used a Metal Tag that I painted with the Broken China Distress Paint!! I stamped my sentiment and added some black burlap twine and two different bows in matching colors!!  I LOVE the way my tag turned out!!

THANKS for stopping by and I hope you'll go to Tim's Blog and play along!!?? If not at least visit to be totally Inspired by all of the entries!!  Have a Fabulous Week!!  =)

Hello!! Happy Sunday!!
Today I was able to play along with the WPlus9 Monday Mood Board #10 Challenge over on the WPlus9 Blog!!  =)
I am a HUGE Fan of this weathered white washed look and I couldn't wait to play along!! I decided to try a Water Colored Ombre Effect!! So I reached for my New Tim Holtz Distress Paints!! I wanted to play with them and see if I could make a FUN background to build my card from!! I decided to use the Damask Dolies Stamp Set and I stamped them with Versa Mark and then added Clear Embossing Powder and heat set them!! I then mixed together Broken China, Salty Ocean, Peeled Paint, Forest Moss and Picket Fence Distress Paints to create my color!! I started by mixing it with water on a paper plate and colored my lightest color. I then added more paint and less water as I went until at the bottom of my card when no water was added!! I LOVE the way it blended and how the colors turned out!! I stamped my sentiment onto vellum and added a die cut vellum Butterfly from WPlus 9 with some Prima Gems for the body!!
Here is my finished card!!

THANKS for stopping by and have a Fabulous Week!! =)

Avery Elle April Guest Designer Challenge Entry Three!! =)

Hello for the Third time today!! =)
I have just one more card to share with you for the Avery Elle April Guest Designer Challenge!! We were to use the Image above as our Inspiration and create a card to show our take on that Inspiration!!
So for my finally card I wanted to create a Wedding/Anniversary or Engagement Card!! The Image above looks like a Celebration of some sort and around our neck of the woods these parties are usually for Weddings, Anniversaries, or Engagements!! So I thought it would be FUN to create a card that could be used for one of these events!! I decided to use the Rounded Diamonds Dies and the What's Up? Stamp Set!! I Started by die cutting the card front with the Largest Rounded Diamond Die!! I then stamped the Giraffe Images two times once onto a Yellow Cardstock and once onto a Rose Cardstock!! I also stamped the noses onto some text paper in different shades!! I cut all of the images out and inked the edges with Distress Ink in Gathered Twigs. I wanted to add some life to the Giraffes so I took a fantastix and colored in the spots and the horns with some of the Gathered Twigs Distress Ink and I LOVE the soft look it gives!! I added them to the inside of the card window and put their heads together so it looked like they are snuggling!! I added some blue cardstock with a scalloped trim on the inside of the card to add to the HAPPY Feel of the card!! I left the card free of a sentiment and when I need a card for any of the events listed above I can stamp my image at that time!! I really LOVE the way it turned out and I can't wait to give this away to a Celebrating Couple!! =)   Here is my finished card!!

I also wanted to share the Free Image that Avery Elle has shared on their Blog!! Click on the link or the image to go and download this image!!  =)

Avery Elle April Guest Designer Challenge Entry Two!! =)

Hello!!
I am here with another FUN Card that I am entering into the Guest Designer Challenge Over on the Avery Elle Blog!! We were to use the image above as our Inspiration Jumping off point and come up with a project!! They also included a Free Digi Stamp Image this month and I wanted to use that as my Design Layout Inspiration!!
(you can click here or the image to go to the blog and snag this Free Download)

I wanted to make a Retro Feeling Card!! I got several different feelings while I was looking at this image and with the lanterns and lights it made me think of a Retro Party!! So I started by Die Cutting the front of my card using the Rounded Diamond Dies. I then Die Cut three Rounded Diamonds from some chevron patterned kraft paper and then I stamped the Large Diamond Image using a Light Brown Shadow Ink from Hero Arts because I wanted the Tone-on-Tone look!! I then Stamped three of the Giraffe Images onto some Rose colored cardstock and some patterned text cardstock for the noses. I wanted the dimension so after I cut out all of the images I used some pop dots to pop the noses up!! I attached the giraffe's to the inside of the card so they would be peeking through the die cut windows and I felt it still needed something so I decided to add another panel to the front of the card only off setting it alittle bit to add the the retro feel alittle more!! After die cutting the windows I stamped my sentiment and pop dotted it to the card front!! I wanted the image to come to life alittle more so I added some Distress Ink with a fantastix brush to the Giraffes horns!! I LOVE the way this came together and it really gives off the Retro Feel I was going for!! Here is my card!!

THANKS for stopping by today and I hope you'll go to the Avery Elle Blog and check out all of the INSPIRATION!! Have a Fabulous Week!!

Avery Elle April Guest Designer Challenge Entry One!! =)

Hello!!
I have a Fun card to share today using this photo above as my Inspiration!! I am trying out for the Guest Designer spot over on the Avery Elle Blog!! I am new to them and have fallen in LOVE with their FUN style!! I hope you'll join in on the FUN and check out ALL of the AMAZING Inspiration that is entered each month during the Guest Designer Challenge!! You will walk away totally inspired to create!! =)
So as I looked at this photo and it made me think of a Ball Pit (can you tell I have young children!! Ha Ha Ha) with all of those hanging lanterns and playing peek-a-boo!! They also shared this Free Digi Stamp Image and it made me want to use the three images as a design layout!! (you can follow the link above or click on the image to be taken to the site to snag this Free Down Load for your Collection)

So I decided to use the New Rounded Diamonds Stamp and matching Die Set along with the
What's Up? Stamp Set!! I was going for a FUN Cartoon feel with a POP of color because the photo is mostly black and white with the pop of colors from the lanterns!! So I started by die cutting the card front with my design and then I stamped the Large Diamond Image on the inside of the card with Versa Mark and used some Tattered Rose Distress Embossing Powder by Tim Holtz!! I LOVE the texture it adds and the different flecks of color!! I then stamped the Giraffe Image three times onto white cardstock and then onto a rose colored cardstock. I cut out the images and then just the noses of them!! I wanted to add some dimension so I pop dotted the noses up and then to keep up with the theme I just had to add some wiggle eyes!! On the card front I decided to add the Sentiment What's Up? around each of the die cut openings and I feel it really makes my card come together!!
So here is the finished card!!

THANKS SO MUCH for stopping by today and like I said I hope you'll go and check out the Avery Elle Blog!! Whether you decide to join in on the challenges or go just for INSPIRATION I know you'll LOVE you visit!! Have a FABULOUS WEEK!! =)

MOO~LICOUS with Paper Smooches!! =)

MOO~LICOUS!! =)  (I made my own word as if the cow was talking!! So I know an I is missing)
Ha Ha Ha!! Today I am having FUN with a Play on words and a challenge over on the Paper Smooched Challenge Blog!!  Just look at the inspiration picture for this weeks Picture Perfect Challenge!!

I thought it would be Fun to create a FUN Project using the Digi Cupcake Image and the Cow from the Chubby Chums Stamp Set!! I LOVE the neat Cupcake Toppers that I see people add to their treats so I thought why not create that for a card too!!?? I resized the Digi Cupcake and printed it off twice onto Solar White Cardstock and Once onto a 6x6 Polka Dot Cardstock piece from Echo Park!! I then cut them all out keeping one of the white images whole for my base image and cutting the other two images apart so I could have the liner with the dots and the frosting white!! I took a Copic Marker in B0000 and outlined the frosting top and then I added some Rock Candy Stickles in a pretty heave amount!! I wanted it to look like it was sprinkled with sugar ontop of the frosting!! I cut the cherry off of the base cupcake and colored it with R29 and R27 Copic Markers!! I then covered it with Crystal Stickles!! Once dry I currled the frosting piece to add some dimension and then attached it to the base cupcake with 3-D Foam Squares!! I added the Cherry onto the top with another 3-D Foam Square!! I LOVE the way my cupcake turned out!!  I then started working on the Cupcake Topper!! I stamped my Cow image onto a 6x6 Mini Polka Dot Cardstock piece from Echo Park!! I fussy cut the image out and added it to a Die cut 1 1/2" white circle.  Then I layered that onto a coordinating blue scalloped cardstock piece!!  I wanted to create a FUN Sentiment so I used the Paper Smooches letter Dies and Spelled out MOOLICOUS!!
I used the Spellbinders A2 Curved Matting Basics and made them longer to fit my needs for this card!! I LOVE the way it turned out!! Here are some pictures of my finished card!!

Tilted with Paper Trey Ink!! =)

Hello!!
It's almost Friday!! Can't believe how FAST this week has flown by!! I was looking at the calendar today and my 6 yr. old only has four more weeks of school left and he has made it through his Kindergarten Year!! So SAD that it has gone by so FAST, but SO PROUD of him for all he has accomplished and learned this year!! Can't believe he will be a First Grader already!!

Anyway, today I was able to play along with the FUN Monthly Blog Hop over on The Paper Trey Ink Blog!! This month the challenge was to Create something with a Tilted Design!! Just look at all of these EXAMPLES!! =)

Blog-hop-inspiration

I just got my NEW Products from the April Release in the mail at 2:00pm this afternoon and I knew I wanted to use the Seventh Inning Stretch Stamp Set and matching Dies!! I also wanted to use the New Stars Dies!! I just LOVE stars and these babies are so mini and sweet!! =)
I was inspired by some of the cards that were created by the Design Team during the release that were created for girls using this stamp set and with my niece just tried out for her first traveling softball team and made it, so I wanted to make this for her!!
I used some mini text paper from the Simple Stories Vintage Bliss 6X6 paper pad and cut it at an angle to match the card base!! I then die cut three balls, one glove and two bats!! I created my main design on the tilt and then used some of the PTI Felt and die cut the star buttons border only I decided to keep the button holes in because I didn't like them as buttons for this card!! Just another way you can use this die!! LOVE when you can use them for different uses!! I stamped two of the sentiments from the set in Kraft Ink and I LOVE the subtle look!! I wanted to give alittle life to the die cuts so I bent the glove to make it look like a real glove with a ball in it!! I rounded the edges of the balls and the bats in the same way and added alittle bit of 3-D foam squares for added depth!! I inked around the edges of everything and I LOVE the way it turned out!! Here are some pictures of my finished card!!

THANKS for stopping by and I hope you'll go and check out all of the AMAZING INSPIRATION over on the Paper Trey Ink Blog!! Have a FABULOUS WEEKEND!! =)
