Hello!!
I wanted to join in on the FUN challenge over on the Moxie Fab World Blog!! This weeks Tuesday  Trigger: Frame by Frame!!

I wanted to create a Deck the Halls card for my Mother-in-Law who LOVES Gingerbread Men!!
I used a couple different stamp set from Paper Trey Ink and I LOVED the mini gingerbread couple!! SO I made three different felt frames and added some stamped images to make them look like framed Holiday pieces and then I added some garland around them just like my Mother-in-Law does on her wall!! I LOVE the way it turned out and I know she is going to LOVE this!!
Here is a photo of my finished card!!

THANKS for stopping by and have a FABULOUS WEEKEND!! =)

12 Tags of 2012 November Challenge!! =)

Hello and Happy Friday!!
This morning I wanted to share some FUN tags I made for the 12 Tags of 2012 November Challenge over on Tim Holtz's Blog!! =) I LOVED the FUN white out affect he shared on his Inspiration Tag

So I decided to give it a try!!
I used the Season's Silhouettes Stamps Set and wanted to make it with a Christmas theme so I could add it to a card to give away!! I first stamped the CHRISTMAS and then the reindeer with embossing ink and then added clear embossing powder and heat sat it!! Then I wanted to add some of the trees in the background to ground my reindeer. I wanted them to be mostly shadows of trees so that the reindeer would take center stage!! I then got out my Distress Stains and colored the background!! I used Evergreen Bough, Tumbled Glass, Walnut Stain, Tarnished Brass and Picket Fence that I flicked on for some snow flakes!! I then added some Brushed Corduroy Distress Ink around the edges and to the tag to darken it up a bit!! I added some of the Holly Leaves that I stamped and cut out for the top of the tag and then added some red berry gems!! Attached some ribbon and twine and a FUN pin with a charm and I LOVE the way it turned out!! Here are some pics.

My next Tag I wanted to try this same technique only using the Sticky Backed Canvas!!
I wondered if it would turn out the same way beings it is a more porous surface so I thought I'd give it a try!! =)  I started with my Blessings Embossing folder and ran the tag covered with sticky backed canvas that I frayed the edges on through my Sizzix Machine to emboss it!! I LOVE the way it looks!! I then took my versa-mark marker and colored just the word Autumn in and covered it with clear embossing powder and heat embossed it!! I then took the Distress stains and covered the tag with Tarnished Brass to make the words pop then added Mustard Seed, Ripe Persimmon and Forest Moss. I dried that and then went over the whole tag with Picket Fence to tone down the color alittle bit!! I then cut some leaves from Tim's fall foliage sizzlit die and added them to make a frame for the 3-D Acorn BluePrint Stamped Image that I made!! I LOVE the way it turned out!! I used foam adhesive squares the attache it to the center of my tag and added some ribbon and the tag was finished!! (I found that the more I heated the tag the less resistant that the embossed canvas became!!  If I were to try this technique again I would let everything dry on its own and I think the resisted word would be SO AWESOME!! =)
Here is a picture of my finished tag!!

I also wanted to share some more cards I made using some of the 3-D Blue Print stamped images that I made. I shared a video a couple weeks ago showing how to make these and here it is again just incase you missed it!!

THANKS for stopping and I hope you have a FABULOUS WEEKEND!! =)

Cardinal Love!!

I wanted to stop in and share another FUN card I made for the November Essentials Challenge over on the Stampendous Blog!! I used the Jumbo Cardinal stamp that I won on their blog last month and I LOVE the way it looks!! I wanted to see how many of the Fran-ta`ge Products I could use and I was actually able to use atleast one from each category!! =)  I LOVE the way it looks!! First I stamped and then colored the image with my Faber-Castell colored pencils!! I added shading to make it come to life!! Then I cut the image out!! I used a versa-mark marker to go around the female cardinal first (the yellow/orange one) and then used the Aged Ochre Embossing Enamel to cover it!! Then I went around the male cardinal and covered it with the Aged Scarlet Embossing Enamel!! I heat embossed them and then went around the Holly leaves and covered them with the Aged Hunter Embossing Enamel!! I heat embossed them and then covered the berries with some Helmar Gemstone Glue and covered it with the Red Crushed Glass Glitter!! I sat them aside and worked on my card base!! I used Core`dinations light green cardstock and then a white piece and then a blue piece that I stamped with a definition stamp by Memory Box!! I then used my versa-mark marker again and scribbled on the blue cardstock just randomly to make sure that the Aged Gold Embossing Enamel would stick really well!! I then sprinkled on some Leaf Green Fragments, Green Crushed Glass Glitter and Tarnished Mica Fragments and heat embossed it all form the bottom side of the cardstock as to not blow all of the pieces off!! I LOVE the way it looks!! I was going for a dense tree feeling and I think it totally worked!! I then added foam adhesive squares to the back of the cardinal piece and added it to the center of my card base!! It was a FUN card to make and I actually made a couple that I can't wait to give away this Holiday Season!! I KNOW they will be cherished!!
Here are some pictures of my finished card!!

THANKS for stopping by and to see the other AWESOME cards I made for the challenge just scroll down to the next post!! =)  Have a FABULOUS WEEK!! =)

Stampendous November Challenge!! =)

Hello!!
I wanted to share the FUN Vintage Inspired Cards that I made for the Stampendous November Essential Challenge over on their blog!!  I LOVE all of the Fran-ta`ge Products and I have used several of them on these projects!! I can't wait to share!! =)
So first up I wanted to make my version of a vintage post-card with the vintage color and a little glass glitter!! I used the Jumbo Cardinals Holly Stamp and then did some masking over a center dry embossed diagonal stripe for my sentiment!! Then I added some silver Faber-Castell Aquarelle pencil around the stamped and colored image to add that vintage shadow affect!! I used the Tim Holtz fine waterbrush to go around the image and feather out the silver color!! Its hard to see the effect it gives in the photo, but in real life it looks so NEAT!! It was so worth the time it took for this step!! Then I added some Brushed Corduroy Distress ink just around the edges and then lightly worked my way in leaving the parts around the center of the image white!! LOVE it!! Here is a picture of the final card!!

Next up I used a similar layout but I wanted to add alittle more of the Fran-ta`ge products so I decided to go around the holly leaves with a versa-mark marker using the fine tip edge and then I added the Aged Hunter Embossing Enamel to outline all of them!! After heat embossing  then added Helmar's gemstone glue and the Red Crushed glass glitter to the Holly Berries!! I used a little Brushed Corduroy Distress ink again just around the edges of the card and added my sentiment!! I LOVE the fun look of this card!! Here are some pictures!!

THANKS for stopping by and I hope you'll check out all of the AMAZING cards that were made for this months challenge!! If you want to join in on the FUN they post a NEW Challenge each month!! You can find out more about it on their blog!! =)

Fun Holiday Card for a Challenge!! =)

Hello!!
Today I wanted to share a Fun Holiday Card that I made following the colors from the Play Date Cafe Challenge # 158!!

After looking through my ink colors, I decided to go with the Colorbox Chalk Inks!! They were the closest ones I had!! I LOVE the way they made the Gingerbread house details come to life!! I used the Paper Trey Ink Gingerbread stamp and die set and I had FUN using all of the different little details that you can choose from!! I stamped a music background with a light kraft ink and then used some old paper distress ink the blend it out alittle!! I then covered some snow bank pieces with the Rock Candy Dry Distress Stickles glitter to look like a snowy winter wonderland and then I also covered the windows and the gumdrops with the same glitter!! I cut a snowflake out of white felt and layered it with a felt heart and a Prima heart gem!! I LOVE the touch it adds!! I also used a baby pearl from Stampin' Up for the door handle  SO CUTE!! =)
I then added my sentiment and just had to add two little hearts to either side of it!!
Here are some pictures!!

Fall/Thanksgiving Cards!!

Hello!!
Hope your weekend has been AMAZING!! We have had GREAT weather this weekend and its supposed to be nice (55-65 degrees) all WEEK!!
So putting up our Christmas lights and decorations will be a FUN family event instead of just a daddy event!! =)
We also have a 30 week check-up and Ultra sound tomorrow and I am looking forward to seeing how much our little guy has changed in 10 weeks!! =)
I will be sharing pic's later this week!!
So how about seeing some FUN Fall/Thanksgiving cards!!
I had fun last weekend with my 10 year old niece Meghan who was here for the weekend to celebrate her 10th birthday and so her dad could go deer hunting!! We spent the WHOLE weekend creating!! Even her little sister Anna who is 5 decided to create after seeing how much FUN we were having!! I was SO impressed with her coloring skills and I wish I would have gotten some pictures, but the boys had the camera so they could document the Big Hunt!! Everyone ended up getting a deer this year so Beckett was having a BLAST!! =)  I will share pictures of that later too!!
Anyway, I wanted to share my cards and I used Inspiration from the Moxie Fab World Blog Tuesday Trigger Challenge Fantasy in Fall!!

I wanted to make a wreath and thought I had a stamp set, but couldn't find it so after looking through my supplies I decided to use the Tim Holtz Branch Tree Die
*Tim Holtz Sizzix Die BRANCH TREE Bigz Alterations
and a scalloped 3 inch scalloped circle punch that I punched the center out of using a 21/2 inch scalloped circle punch for the base!! I cut out two trees and cut the branches off in individual pieces and then layered them all together onto the scalloped circle base to form my wreath!! I LOVE the way it turned out!! I then cut some small circles out of felt and did a spiral cut so I could make the rolled flowers that I added to the bottom of my wreath!! The background was made by running my cardstock through my sizzix machine using the Tim Holtz Thankful Backgrounds embossing folder!!
*Tim Holtz Sizzix THANKFUL BACKGROUNDS & BORDERS Texture Trades 657466
I then added some May Arts burlap Twine and some gems to finish it off!!

My next card was created using a FUN technique that I came up with using the Tim Holtz BluePrint mini stamps!! I LOVE the way it looks and decided to keep the rest of the card pretty simple so that the Acorn would be the main focal point!! I added some Rock Candy Dry Distress Stickles glitter to the top of the acorn and then using a glue pen I went around the edges of my card and added some more to make a boarder!! I LOVE the way it turned out!!

My last card is a card I made using a Stamp set from the Craft's Meow!! I took the Holiday Card class with Jennifer Mcquire and Kristina Werner a couple weeks ago and Jennifer shared a really neat idea on how to use a WHOLE Holiday Stamp set to make some holiday cards!! I decided to give it a try and I LOVE the results!! Plus, I got to use all of the stamps except for two and on card!! How AWESOME!! I then added a EK Sucess label punch for the Turkey stamp base and then a couple leaves and some May Arts Burlap twine bow with a gem to finish it off!! LOVE the way they turned out!! I made a video to share and walk through the process of making them!! You can watch it here!!

So THANKS for stopping by and I hope you have a FABULOUS WEEK!!  =)

Tim Holtz Distress Embossing Powder Ornaments!!

Dreamweaver Stencils Banner
and
Ranger Ink

I wanted to share some FUN Ornaments that I made using a Sizzix Ornaments #4 Die and Grunge Board as my base along with Ranger embossing powders and the melting pot and Ranger Dry Stickles Glitter in Diamond Dust!! Along with Tim Holtz Distress Embossing Powders in Frayed Burlap, Peeled Paint and Pine Tree!! Then some May Arts ribbons to finish it all off!! I made these for a FUN Challenge going on over on the Dreamweaver Stencil Blog and Ranger Ink Blog!!
I hope you'll go check it out for some FUN New Technique Inspiration!!

I started out by taking my ornament base and after I had mixed up my Ranger Embossing Powders in my melting pot and let it melt!! I used a Pearl Embossing Powder first and mixed in some Ranger Dry Stickles Glitter in Diamond Dust LOVE that stuff!! =) Once it was melted I then filled the center of the Ornament with it and let it dry!!  I then mixed in some Ranger Gold Embossing powder and again once it was melted I filled in the outer to spaces and then let it dry!! Once it was cooled and hardened I took a double sided tape and cut out another ornament shape and then covered the grunge board ornament base with the double sided tape. I mixed the Tim Holtz Distress Embossing Powders together in a small container and then covered the ornament base with them rubbing it into the double sided tape had been applied!! I then added some May Arts Lace Ribbon and Burlap Twine bow with a cute gold gem to finish it off!! I then added some ribbon for the hanger and I can't wait to wrap my presents with these CUTE Ornaments that are show pieces that can be kept and hung on the tree for next Christmas!! =)  (You can make several at a time while you are doing it and the process goes fairly quick. I reused the pearl embossing powder by adding the gold right to it after I was done filling all of the centers of the Ornaments so that I shouldn't have any waisted product!! Then I can keep the gold pearl mixture for another project later on!!)
Here are some pictures of how they turned out!!

I hope you'll give this a try!! The texture that the Distress Embossing Powders give in contrast to the melted embossing powders in the center of the ornament really looks neat in person!!
THANKS for stopping by and have a FABULOUS WEEK!! =)

Tim Holtz Distress Embossing Powder Challenge by Ranger!! =)

Dreamweaver Stencils Banner
and
Ranger Ink
Have been INSPIRING us for the last three weeks with ways to use Tim Holtz Distress Embossing Powders and the Dreamweaver Stencils!! I have been SO AMAZED with the ideas and creations that have been shared!! It isn't to late to join in on the FUN!! You can find out about the Blog Hop here on the Dreamweaver Stencil Blog or here on the Ranger Ink Blog!!
I am NEW to Dreamweaver Stencils and didn't have any of their BEAUTIFUL stencils to use for my projects!! So I decided to use the products that I did have and make my own stencils!! I used some of my Tim Holtz Sizzix Dies and cut out my own stencil designs out of Grunge Board!! I used the Pine Tree Die for my first card and cut out the Pine Tree in the center of my Grunge Board!! I then used a Ranger Paint Dabber to paint the whole piece white!! After it had dried completely I ran it through my sizzix machine using the Tim Holtz Christmas words embossing folder!! I LOVE the way it pops!! I then took a piece of card stock that I covered with double sided tape and placed the grunge board stencil on top and secured them together!! I then took my Tim Holtz Distress Embossing Powders in the colors Shabby Shutters, Peeled Paint, and Pine Needles for the tree and then Walnut Stain, and Tea Dye for the tree trunk and sprinkled them on to the exposed tape!! I than rubbed the powders with my finger to make sure that they were pressed well into the tape and then tapped off the excess!!  I LOVED the way it looked, but wanted to take it a step further!! On the Dreamweaver Blog they have a product that some of the DT Memebers have used called Embossing Paste and I LOVED the way it looked so I wanted to imitate that process and I decided to use Claudine Hellmuth's Matte Multi Medium and I just added dabs of it to the top of the tree in places where I wanted to add some more dimension!! After adding it I then sprinkled it again with the embossing powders and I LOVE the added depth that it gave to my tree!!  I then used a star die cut and covered it with tape and then Mustard Seed Distress Embossing Powder. I added it to the top f the tree!!  To make the snow on the bottom of my card I used some glittered flocking and then added a little bit to parts of the tree as well!! I LOVED the way my card turned out and even though I had to substitute some of the products I still think that the outcome is BEAUTIFUL!! Here is my first card!!

For my second card I decided to use the Sizzix Ornaments #4 Die!! I  cut the ornament out of Grunge Board again and then took the Tim Holtz snowflake movers and shapers die and placed it on to another piece of grunge board and cut it out!! I ended up with a stencil and a grunge board snowflake.  I placed double sided tape on to the Ornament shape and then added the snowflake stencil on top!! I was alittle worried that the stencil would stick permanently to the tape and I wouldn't be able to remove the stencil after adding my Distress Embossing powders, but it came right up!! So after adding the Broken China, and Faded Jeans Distress Embossing powders to the snowflake stencil and rubbing it to make sure it was adhered good I removed the stencil and then added the Weathered Wood Distress Embossing powder to the rest of the ornament and rubbed it to adhere!! I LOVED the way it turned out!! I got a PERFECT image and then decided to ink the edges with some Brushed Corduroy Distress Ink!!  I used the Ranger Paint Dabber in silver to paint the top of the ornament and added a button and gem to the center of the snowflake for some added fun!! I then covered the snowflake cut out with the same Distress Powders and decided that my background grunge board piece needed some dimension!! So I ran it through my sizzix machine with the same Tim Holtz embossing folder after I had painted it white with a Ranger Paint dabber!! I wanted to add some more of the blue color for a visual triangle and decided to use my Versa Mark Marker to carefully added Versa Mark to the JOY and the 25 that were embossed on the grunge board background!! I added the Broken China and Faded Jeans Distress Embossing Powders and then decided to heat set it for a different look!! I really LOVE the way it turned out!! I placed the Ornament on to the card front with pop dots for added dimension and inked the edges of the cardstock with Brushed Corduroy!! Here are some pictures of the finished card!!

So I hope you'll check out the FUN going on during the rest of the Inspiration week!! You won't be disappointed!! I also hope that you'll give some of the techniques that have been shared a try!! Even if you don;t have all of the EXACT supplies!! Use what you have to alter it alittle an the outcome might just surprise you!! I am SO HAPPY with the way my cards turned out and I will be EXPERIMENTING even more with some of the FUN ideas!!
THANKS for stopping by and have a FABULOUS WEEK!! =)
