Weekly Challenge #33: Sweet Summertime Challenge!

The Challenge: What makes summertime “sweet” to you? Ice cream treats? Watermelon? Popsicles? Whatever it is we want you to include the shape of your favorite summertime sweet treat on your project. But that’s not all! Raid your stamp stash and incorporate them somewhere on your project as well. Have fun!

Rules and Guidelines: Circle Blog Challenges are open to Cricut Circle Members only. Your project must be newly created for this challenge and include atleast 2 Cricut Image Cuts. You must submit a project to be entered into the Challenge Prize Drawing. One entry per person, please.

How to Enter: Submit your entry using the InLinkz tool found at the bottom of this post. Please post your full name along with your entry. Entries are due by 9:00 pm MST on Thursday, June 9th, 2011.

Prize: This week the winner may choose to have $25 added to their Cricut.com account OR choose one of the following cartridges: TBA. Please allow 4 to 6 weeks for delivery from winner announcement.

Winner: The winner will be selected randomly from qualifying entries using http://www.random.org/ and will be announced on the Cricut Circle Blog on Friday, June 10th, 2011.

Here is my Entry!! =)

I used the cute watermelon card cut out from the Stretch Your Imagination cart. Then I added a frame and a dimensional watermelon cut out. Then thought it needed something extra so I added the cute flourish and the flowers to the side of the card all cut from the Stretch your imagination cart. I added stamping to all of the pieces and I LOVED the way that all of the texture looks on all of them!! I cut out the word summer from book text stamped paper and then layered the black cut out on top of it!! Then layered the inside with more stamped book text paper!! Just my style!! No Summer is complete with out watermelon and books!! =)

This is my FIRST time entering a CRICUT CHALLENGE!! I am a NEWBIE, but I had alot of fun and I look forward to many more!! THANKS for stopping by and have a FABULOUS DAY!! =)
