Here Is what I came up with!!  =)
I wanted to make some fun game that we wouldn't have to worry about losing all of the pieces!!
So I bought some of the magnet sheets and cut all of my pieces out using the %0 states cartridge!! I cut all of the pieces at 31/2 inches!! Then cut them from cardstock and glued them together!! =)
I let the kids decide what they wanted to make and we made several different games.  The U.S.A. Puzzle, the Ice Cream Cone puzzle and then we did a Lightning McQueen game. I made a road and then the cars and my son took that with him so I couldn't photography it, but I will add it later. I turned out so NEAT!! THANKS for stopping by and have a FABULOUS DAY!! Check out the pics below!! =)

Sketch Challenge Crate Paper!! =)

The Sketch Challenge--June 2011 Edition

Welcome to the June Sketch Challenge! I am really excited to see what everyone does with this sketch, it's a bit different in that there's not a specific place for a photo. You get to decide where the photo goes, I had an idea, but wanted to leave it open to interpretation. It was fun to see what the team did with the sketch, so I know you all won't disappoint me either. I am loving bakers' twine, so I added some of that and some pinked circle tags to draw your eye down the page finish it off. Here are the rules as always, please note the due date has been moved back just a bit to allow more time for creating!
  • You have until midnight (MDT) Sunday the 26th to work on the sketch.
  • Projects must use at 50% Crate Paper products, new releases are not required.
  • Sketch can be a layout, cards, tags, or other project, just make sure they are newly created for the challenge.
  • Scan/Photograph your project (you needn't send detail shots) and send it to info@cratepaper.com. Please try to size your project to 600 x 600.
  • Remember to send it in, don't simply link it on this post. You're welcome to link it, but it will only be considered an entry if you send it in.
  • If you share a link to your blog, I'll be sure to include that if you're the winner or in the top 5.
  • Winner will be selected based on quality or invention of work. I will send my top 5 to the Crate Paper office, then they'll choose one winner to be announced on Wednesday the 29th. I'll share some of my favorites with you at that time too.
Here's the sketch:
June[Stitches from Tia Bennett's Spool of Stitches from http://crate.typepad.com/cratepaper/sketch-challenge/www.twopeasinabucket.com, all other designs copyright mlepitts designs 2011]
Here is my Layout!! =) I used the photo of me holding my niece on the day she was born!! =)

I wanted to use the Portrait Collection!! I LOVE the colors and the patterns and thought they matched well with the photo!! I also used some of the Neighborhood collection and mixed in some border stickers and chipboard pieces!! =)
I punched out 21/2 in. scallop circles and then scored them to fold them into squares to make a quilted pattern, kinda like a blanket. I then added a punched bored and a sticker border to make a frame around the scalloped squares. Then added some stickers to the photo and placed it on top of the quilted design. I then took some of the mist`able canvas butterflies from prima and spayed them with glimmer mist to add to the layout and used jute to make a flight pattern. I then added chipboard butterflies to the centers of the butterflies.
THANKS for stopping by and have a FABULOUS DAY!! =)

Moxie Fab Challenge!! =)

Here are my Entries!! =)  I have made 3 different cards using this as inspiration!! I hope you enjoy what I have came up with!!?? I played with fabric in several different ways. On the first card I made a cute fabric border on the edge of my card and I LOVE the way it turned out!! One the next card I stamped on some canvas and then embossed it. I then used Tattered Angels glimmer mist to color the canvas and the look is just gorgeous.  I then decided to stamp on muslin canvas and it looks alot different, but I love the way you can stamp really detailed stamps and it comes out nice and crisp, where if you stamp on just regular canvas you can only do really simple designs because it is alittle more absorbent.

Phot1
Here is my layout!! =) I wanted to use this photo of Beckett and Zoe on the hay bales and I ended up turning the sketch sideways to make it fit my photos better!! I LOVE the way it turned out!! Everything I have used for this layout is from Cosmo Cricket and I used several different papers from different lines-including some VINTAGE Cosmo Cricket from the Little Boys Biography collection, and the Girls Friday collection. Then I used some Newer releases from the Togetherness collection, Salt Air collection, and the Social Club collection!! I used several sticker borders from all of these collections in several different ways. From the sun rays to the flower stems to the borders on the titles. I also used several chipboard pieces and then used the Blings Blings gems from the Salt Air collection for the centers of the flowers. I also used some Crackle Glossy Accents to add some texture to the butterfly wings and the clouds and LOVE the way it looks!! =)
I also used several elements pieces and some of the border pieces. Then I used the black Tiny Type letter stickers for my journaling on one of the elements pieces. THANKS for stopping by and I hope you have a FABULOUS DAY!! =)

I fringed a piece of Togetherness paper for the grass. =)

I added my main journaling on the back side of this elements tag!! =)

Core`dinations Journal Challenge plus a New Technique!! =)

Hello!! Today I was playing around with my FABULOUS Core`dinations Cardstock!! =)
They posted a challenge this month and I just had to play along!!
It’s June 1st. Let’s kick of this month with a fun CHALLENGE!
What do you think?
We just loved this technique that Melissa Oliveira shared with us yesterday on the blog that we wanted to extend the invitation to try it to YOU!
Journaling is such an important part of a scrapbookers journey to preserve memories and tell stories.
SO for this challenge….we want to see your Journaling. It doesn’t have to be this specific technique…you can journal any way you choose.
But  for this challenge there are a few things you must do:
1) JOURNAL
2.) Use Core’dinations Cardstock (it must be a visible component of the layout).
3.)  Link your project to THIS blog post or post it on our Facebook page. Make sure you “like” us, too!
4.) Show off a cool Core technique and we will throw in an additional chance to win!
The rest is up to you!
And how could I forget??? Of Course a random Winner will win some CORE’DINATIONS CARDSTOCK!
Here is a layout from Melissa Oliveira to get you inspired on the many ways you can journal on your Core.  The possibilities are endless and we can’t wait to see what you can do! For this layout she sanded where she journaled AND scored her journal lines. Brilliant!!!
Deadline for this challenge is two weeks…June 15th by midnight PST.
So I decided to make a card!! I needed to send one to a friend and this was a perfect challenge!!
I also tried a NEW technique~I covered the doily piece of coredinations cardstock that I cut from the new Basicgrey Ornate paper with Tattered Angels Glitter Glam in Pink Lipstick. I then took the coredinations sander block and sanded off the raised doily image!! I LOVE the way it looks!! =)  I have never seen this done and I wondered how it would work!! I will be tring this again and again!! =)
I then added the 31/2 inch circle of turquoise blue cut from the New Fancy Pants Designs Refreshed Collection, them layered that on a crate paper sizzix die cut doily!! I LOVE the way it turned out!! I then added the cute greeting sticker from Create Paper and the button from Girl's Paperie!! The base of my card is also a piece of coredinations cardstock from the Basicgrey Ornate paper. LOVE IT!! Then I used the cloud corner punch from We-R-Memory Makers. I then added a half circle doily on the inside of the card and made a cute journaling area for the inside of my card!! LOVE it and I can't wait to hear from my friend when she gets it in the mail!! =)
Here are the photos THANKS for stopping by!! Have a FABULOUS DAY!! =)

May Arts Beach Challenge!!

Hello Friends!! =)
Isn't it a FABULOUS DAY!!?? Here in Nebraska we have been
experiencing really unusually cool temperatures for this time of year. Don't get me wrong I don't mind it, but the normal activities like going to the lake and swimming pool have been hard to enjoy because the water is still too cold.  It hasn't gotten hot enough for long enough yet to heat up the water.  Oh well, we have been able to enjoy being out side ALL DAY and not getting burnt to a crisp and fishing at the pond has been PERFECT!!
Today, I have a Beach Challenge for MAY ARTS @ http://www.mayarts.com/blog/.
I had so much fun creating this mini!! I found a cute little box and wanted to turn it into a mini book.
I used  Webster's Pages  paper, I love this collection!! I used lots of BEAUTIFUL May Arts Ribbons to finish it off!! So take a look, I hope you enjoy!!

A little card box I created to go with the mini!! I put some of the October Afternoon flash cards inside so I could add pictures.

Used LOTS of May Arts Ribbons for the handle and then I made the sail boat out of Prima Canvas paper and glitter and just cut the base of the sail boat from the woodgrain printed paper by Crate Paper.

Here is a fun You Tube Video for you too!! THANKS for Watching!! =)

THANKS for stopping by today!! =) I hope you have a FABULOUS MONDAY!! =)
